For the forthcoming Dussehra celebrations, the children from Early Years at Manav Rachna International School, Mohali, were told about the story of Rama and Ravana. They were fascinated by the way Rama rescued Sita from Ravana.
To make the learning process more joyful, the little ones prepared Ravana’s face with brightly painted paper cups and paper art. The children were thrilled to recite Dussehra related rhymes and the corridors resonated with their ‘Jai Siya Ram’ slogans.
The students from Primary Years were briefed that burning the effigy of Ravana carries a symbolic meaning of curbing the evil inside us. “There is a dire need for us to introspect and look within ourselves to overcome the vicious inside us”, said Principal MRIS Mohali.
