“Unity in diversity is India’s strength. There is simplicity in every Indian and unity in every corner of India. This is our strength.”
Amphitheatre of MRIS-46, Gurugram saw a different view, when teachers of Early Years presented an assembly for their little ones on the festival Onam. Onam is the biggest festival of Kerala and is marked to pay homage to the demon king ‘Mahabali’. The festival also has a social significance as it coincides with the harvest season which takes place during the month of August and September. Teachers narrated the story behind the festival Onam through a puppet show, made ‘Pookalam’ and presented a beautiful traditional dance of Kerala called ‘Thiruvathirakali’. The endless joy on the faces of the children was visible as they saw their teachers performing.
