“Sand and Sun, Summer has begun……”
Away from the routine of traditional school days, a summer camp is a special place where kids can engage in their favorite activities. Summer programs offer opportunities for learning and laughter, as well as plenty of chances to meet new people and work as a team.
MRIS-46, Gurugram organised a Summer Camp from 18 May 2019 to 31 May 2019 in the school premises. The school hosted a plethora of activities like Western dance, Indian dance, Visual Art, Swimming, Beats & Rhythm, Gymnastics, Soccer, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Archery, Shooting, Theatre, Yoga, Boxing and Makershala. Activities were divided according to the age group varying from 4 to 14 years old.
Makershala became the most sought after activity where children worked on projects like virtual reality box, water level indicator, making a 3D keychain using a 3D printer, glowing display board, hungry robot and air purifier. Children also enjoyed sessions in Art as they gave wings to their creativity through paper batik, mural with crayons, oil pastels, aquarium and stone art. Children transcended from mundane to surreal with some dance moves as they took classes in both western and Indian forms. Overall, the primary purpose of the Summer camp i.e educational, athletic and cultural development of the child was very well achieved. It enabled the children to learn and acquire new skills in a safe and nurturing environment.
