“If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes in his head.
If you talk to him in his language that goes to his heart.” – Nelson Mandela
In an attempt to promote and propagate the use of our national language, MRIS Sec-14, Faridabad celebrated “Hindi Week” from 10th September, 2018- 14th September, 2018. The entire week witnessed a wide range of activities organized for Grade I-V, including story-telling, poem recitation, creative writing, folk song competition etc. which aimed at developing linguistic skills, speaking skills and nurturing the imagination and creativity of the students. The array of events attained its zenith, with the presentation of Hindi Diwas assembly by Garde-IV, A students. The students were in great swing with the poem ‘Swadeshi Upnao’. Not only were they enthralled by the funny lively nukkad natak that depicted the significance but the Ganesh Vandana was also not to miss. Icing on the cake were the songs and riddles that not only took over the show but also enlightened us with great knowledge about our national language.
The panorama of hands-on activities showcasing the importance of Hindi, motivated and encouraged students to explore their Hindi language knowledge with different hues. The Assembly was graced by the school Proctor, Verma Sir, and Headmistress, Ms. Minakshi Sharma. The Headmistress emphasized that we should not feel ashamed in using our mother tongue and she also told the students as to how we can help the economy of our country to grow by simply adopting Indian goods. Meritorious students were also facilitaed during the occasion.
