To enhance emotional, cognitive and physical development of the students, sensory mats were created for the little ones of MRIS Noida using different materials like cotton, sponge, straw, egg tray, sand paper, pipe cleaners, crushed origami paper etc. Children were made to touch the mats with their eyes closed and could feel various textures like soft, hard, rough, smooth, spongy, pricky, tickly etc. which they thoroughly enjoyed.

This way, children learnt the sense of touch and it was a great way to enhance their vocabulary as well.
