Construction site visits are interactive experiences that enhance a child’s understanding of real-life construction practices. Little ones from Grade Nursery at Manav Rachna International School, Mohali visited a construction site at Marbella Grand. At the site, materials like sand, pebbles, bricks, stones, etc. were shown to the children and they were apprised about the difference between sand and cement.

They saw various buildings, both under construction and the constructed ones for comparison. Different building techniques, importance of iron rods for strength, usage of wood for doors and windows were explained to them. Children were eager to see the concrete mixer device with a revolving drum used to mix various components of cement. They were amused by this Edutrip and pragmatically understood the nuances of the process of Construction.
