“If you are going to get anywhere in life, you have to read a lot of books”- Roald Dahl.

As we celebrate the 102nd birthday of marvelous author Roald Dahl, a weekly celebration of the same was organized at the library of MRIS. Roald Dahl has made an unparalleled contribution to the field of children literature.

His humor and darkly tales that continue to entertain and thrill children all across the world were displayed in the library for students. The students expressed their love for the author by actively taking part in the ‘Yummy Sandwich Book Report’.

The ‘Yummy Sandwich Book Report’ activity was a learning experience for the children where they created cheese sandwich having summary as the lettuce, the tomato slice was the climax, the mustard spread was the character and the yummy cheese slice was the part of story that made them smile. By this activity the children explored and understood various books by the famous author.

Other activities like book report writing, poster making of the favourite characters was also undertaken.

Principal Ms. Anju Dhawan appreciated the efforts and encouraged the students to become avid readers.
