In accordance with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, annual project activities were organised for Grade 1, 2 and 3 at MRIS-51, Gurugram. For the months of April-May, we conducted an experiment on how dirty water can be converted into clean drinkable water. Video regarding the experiment Pit Style Solar Still was demonstrated to children to understand that clean water is obtained from dirty water. Children learnt how water gets evaporated by the sunlight; the pure water vapours condense on the inner surface of the transparent sheet, and drips down in the empty bowl kept in the centre of the bowl containing dirty water.
