We at MRIS -51, Gurugram feel the need for Parent Child Connection very strongly. To facilitate a strong relationship and free communication, an orientation programme for new parents of Toddlers to Grade VIII was organized. The programme was aimed at fostering closer ties with the parents through a mutual interaction. The Principal, Ms Pooja Puri in her welcome address highlighted the school ethos and critical role parents play in the overall grooming of children. She also laid emphasis on the importance of discipline in students’ life. The welcome address was then followed by the Director of MRIS Schools, Ms. Sanyogita Sharma’s address in which she briefed the parents about the school’s vision of inculcating human values, social responsibilities and environment consciousness in the young buds and also how the little ones should be nurtured with love, care and affection. She also shared some valuable do’s and don’ts of parenting. An effective Powerpoint presentation made the parents aware of the rules and regulations of the institution and the scholastic and co-scholastic activities. The parents were also apprised about the Parent Portal, ERP which is the medium of communication and helps them to know about the school.

The new students were involved in various activities like- dancing, basketball, skill lab, art and craft, etc. It proved to be an informative session for the parents and everyone left with new hopes for the journey.
