Community Outreach Initiatives taken by MRIS-14

Manav Rachna International School, Sector 14, Faridabad believes in providing holistic and over all personality development to its students. It gives enormous opportunities to its students to acquire the lessons of sharing and being selfless in service. Thus students realize the significance of community outreach in building a progressive society where no person would ever be marginalized, where each day would awaken new possibilities to a happy and prosperous life.

Extending Educational Support to Government Girls High School, Mohna Village

The students along with their teachers visit Government Girls High School to provide quality education and to enhance the communication skill, twice a month. They conduct classes, play games and get involved in various activities like art , craft, singing, dancing theatre etc. 

The students of Government Girls High School are also invited to MRIS-14 and are given hands on exposure of the various labs.

  

SPEAK EASY PROGRAMME FOR PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS:

In support to Community Outreach Programme, that is initiated by  Dr. O.P. Bhalla Foundation, the school commences ‘Speak Easy  Programme‘ for parents and grandparents to enhance their speaking and communication skills.

COMPUTER LITERACY PROGRAMME FOR PARENTS & GRANDPARENTS:

Under computer literacy programme, the school has been training the parents with basic computer skills along with the use of Internet, email, chatting, YouTube search, etc. 

EACH ONE FEED ONE

Every year, under the aegis of Dr. O. P. Bhalla Foundation, the school invites the students and its staff to contribute a handful of rice, under their initiative “Ek Mutthi Daan”.  The rice collected is donated to ‘Prayaas’ & ‘Sai Milan’, a NGO

Street Play at Suraj kund Art & Crafts Mela

MRIS Sector 14, always believes in inculcating the moral values not only among its students but also takes it as a duty to work for the society. The students take the opportunity to create awareness in the society by staging street plays at Surajkund Craft Fair on the sensitive issues like, Save the Girl Child and Save water.

Joining hands to contribute towards the noble cause….

The school is associated with NGO Prabhat , a home for specially abled people. The school children regularly visit the NGO. On the occasion of Diwali celebration they were invite to sell their handmade product with a motive to support the organisation. 

CLEANLINESS DRIVE AT SHIV MANDIR AND OLD FARIDABAD RAILWAY STATION

The school regularly extends help in cleaning the Shiv Mandir which is situated in Sainik Colony of the city and Old Faridabad Railway Station. This initiative is taken under the aegis of Dr. O.p. Bhalla Foundation, wherein, we carry the baton of Swachch Bharat Abhiyan forward. 

Association with ‘GOONJ’

The students contribute wholeheartedly for the society as and when any calamity occurs. They also contribute winter clothes on the onset on winter season for the needy.

Creating awareness among the society

The students took the initiative to spread the ‘Swachch Bharat Abhiyan’ awareness to the slumdwellers in the vicinity. They create awareness about using dustbins, toilets, cloth’s bags through one to one talk, taking out rally, distributing cloth bags and presenting street plays in malls and market place.

The students pay regular visit to Prabhat, an NGO devoted to the cause of providing basic health and educational support and assistance to the differently abled, underprivileged children and senior citizens. The students readily volunteer themselves to offer humanitarian services to fill the hearts of the children with disabilities with merriment galore. The young students of MRIS-14 turn into patient caregivers as they guide  the children with special needs with commendable sensitivity through the various fun-filled activities. 

Interact Club – Altruism Blood Donation Camp

We at MRIS, have always inspire students, supporting staff and teachers to become idols by whole heartedly participating in life -saving gestures. These kinds of community outreach programmes infuse the spirit of Altruism and benevolence in the hearts of the students. Keeping in mind the moral ethos of the school; empathy , social responsibility, generosity, self efficacy and other values were inculcated during the course of action.

Vaccination Drive

MRIS14 is honored to have successfully concluded the very first Vaccination drive in Faridabad for the students of Manav Rachna in the age group of 15- 18 years wherein 604 students got vaccinated on 5th January, 2022, in its campus.

The third wave of Covid variant Omicron has taken a toll over the whole world. Manav Rachna International School, Sector 14 in association with the Civil Surgeon, Faridabad has thus become a pioneer in taking the prime step to control the spread of this pandemic further and protecting our children as per the government guidelines.
