Taking cognizance of the issue of cyber-crime which has magnified into a national concern, MRIS-46 conducted an enriching and informative workshop on CYBER SECURITY for the students of Middle School. Conducted by Mr. Puneet Omar from KPMG Software, the students were apprised about cyber ethics, etiquettes, digital footprints and cyber harassments. Understanding the significance of digital footprints, several tips on privacy settings and safe practices were shared for a safer browsing. The purpose of the workshop was to make the students aware about the online threats faced due to an increase in time spent online. A few scenarios were discussed to highlight how to react when a situation related to Cyber security arises. Moreover, the workshop educated the students about protective measures to adopt to remain safe in this virtual world and where to report such cases.

The session was indeed enlightening as the students understood that- Security can be an inconvenience sometime, but now it’s a necessity all the time.
