Hurry Hurry Call the Fire Truck……..

Students of Early Years went on an edu-trip to the Fire Station located in the heart of Gurugram City. The firemen at the Fire Station showed them various equipment used in extinguishing fire like gum boots, hose pipe, branch, helmet with flap, axe and how these equipments are helpful to the fire fighter in rescue operations. Thereafter, they showed a live demonstration of how they put away fire. Fire Fighters also emphasized that since saving water is the need of the hour, so they use ranch which makes the water sprinkle like foam on fire. If there is fire in any high rise building, they use Hydraulic ladder which can reach up to 14th floor to save lives and property. They also shared the emergency number with the children and also told them to inform their parents to always give way to the Fire truck. What if the cylinder in the kitchen leaks? What if all the floors of a building catch fire? These questions were asked by our inquisitive little ones, which were answered by the experts. Through the Edu Trip, children learnt an important life skill lesson that Firemen are an important community helper as they risk their own life to rescue other people.
