The celebration of strength, the celebration of divinity, the celebration of being woman!! Under the aegis of Dr. O P Bhalla Foundation, Manav Rachna ricocheted with the celebration of International Women’s Day in the campus. The event started with the lamp lighting ceremony by the dignitaries present on the occasion, Ms. Satya Bhalla, Chief Patron, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI); Dr. M MKathuria, Trustee, MREI;Dr. N C Wadhwa, VC, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies;Dr. I K Bhat, VC, Manav Rachna University; Dr. M K Soni, PVC, MRIIRS; Dr. Chavi Bhargava Sharma, ED & Dean, FBSS, MRIIRS; Ms. Sanyogita Sharma, Director, Manav Rachna International Schools (MRIS) and Faculty of Education MRU; Ms. Mamta Wadhwa, Director Principal, MRIS, Sec 14, Faridabad and Ms. Dhriti Malhotra, MRIS, Sec 46, Gurugram.

Ms Satya Bhalla in her welcome speech emphasized upon the fact that a woman plays several roles in her lifetime and each role is her paramount, depending upon the accountabilities she has been given. She stated that how the times have changed and a woman has emerged to be a more empowered and liberated version of herself. She makes huge sacrifices to provide for her family in every wake of life and a huge salute to each and every one of them.

Ms. Sanyogita Sharma, Ms. Mamta Wadhwa and Ms. Dhriti Malhotra received recognition citation for their ‘Journey from ordinary to extraordinary’ at the event. They shared how with great powers come great responsibilities and a woman is well capable of handling it all at every stage of life.

A token of love was awarded to Dr. N C Wadhwa for his interminable contribution in the development and growth of Manav Rachna family over the years.  A small session on woman menstrual hygiene and sanitation was also conducted to throw light upon the much needed yet ignored topic in our society.
