Twelve schools of Delhi NCR are competing for the coveted Swimming Trophy at 6th NCR Open Manav Rachna Inter-School Swimming Championship 2019 which started with a fantastic Opening Ceremony on the morning of 25th July, at the poolside of MRIS-46, Gurugram.

The competition was inaugurated by Mr Sarkar Talwar, Director, Sports, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions. The competition was flagged off by him and the Director Principal Ms. Dhriti Malhotra.

The first day saw the girls competing in various categories, proving their prowess in the pool. The categories were divided according to the age groups and saw the girls compete in various swimming styles -freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and the butterfly. The indomitable spirit of some of the swimmers helped them walk away with the ‘Best Swimmer’ award in various age groups. Nikita Malik from MRIS 46, Devika from The Shri Ram School, Manya Gupta from MRIS 14, Idriss from MRIS 14 and Kashvi from The Shri Ram School were adjudged as the Best Swimmers for the day.

The action packed day ended with the Prize Distribution Ceremony. The pool is now all set for Day two of the event for the boys Competition!
