HALLOWEEN

HALLOWEEN- 31st of October brings along with itself spooky fun, candies and costumes!

The campus of MRIS-21C was buzzing with “Trick or Treat” today as the school celebrated Halloween. The students transformed their classrooms into a cute frightening den with scary yet extraordinary handmade crafts like Mosaic Jack-O-Lanterns, paper-bats, owls, witches and monsters and also listened to Halloween stories with awe. Students had come dressed in various outfits to mark the welcoming of good spirits and driving away of the bad spirits in their lives. A ‘Halloween of the Class’ was chosen from each section, based on their attire and makeup. A Halloween Parade was conducted in the school felicitating the Halloween of the Class along with these students creating a fun atmosphere for the rest of the students. The winners were awarded e-certificates.

Through the celebration of Halloween, we expose our students to ancient European traditions like people lighting bonfires and dressing up as ghosts and witches to ward off evil spirits. It helped students learn with fun to appreciate differences in beliefs, cultures and customs of global festivals.
