“THE 5 SENSES ARE THE MINISTERS OF OUR SOUL”

Learning about the five senses is a great subject for preschoolers. Immediate environment helps children learn in many ways which include using their five senses—hearing, sight, smell, taste and touch. A “Sensory Booth” was set up in the nursery corridor of MRIS-14, Faridabad for Nursery students. They experienced different textures to feel hard and soft, tasted various food items, and were able to differentiate between odour and fragrance, and heard different sounds from shakers etc. They were encouraged to think and share about day-to-day instances when their senses helped them recognize or feel something.
