Students of MRIS-14 Faridabad who have shown interest in Media Studies as a career option visited Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Faculty of Media Studies and Humanities (FMeH), MRIIRS recently. The visit was organized under the initiative “Live your Dream Career for a day”.

Mr. Manoj Raut, HoD introduced students to various aspects of mass communication and career options available after the completion of this course. The students then had the opportunity to understand the inner dynamics and functioning of the print and broadcasting industry. In the TV studio, some students handled the camera while others delivered anchor pieces.

The students also visited the Manav Rachna Radio station where they interacted with RJ Bhawna and Ms Sarita. The Radio programme production process was explained to them. They also witnessed a live radio session and interacted with the Radio Jockey. Few students recorded a small talk on “Young generation and Social media” and some handled the console to record it.

The students found the whole experience enjoyable and said that they would like to explore career opportunities in this segment.

Faculty members Geetika Vashisth and Mitali Mohanty interacted with the students and answered all their queries. It was an enriching experience for all the students.
