“Sweeter than honey, tastier than curd, pleasanter indeed than any happiness and joy is the company, is the power of the name of Krishna”
Festivals usher in celebration and happiness. With the Janmashtami festival close by, the kindergarten and Grade II of MRIS-14, Faridabad, visited the ISKCON Temple, Faridabad. At the temple, they listened to the stories of Shri Krishna and chanted the mantra “Hare Rama Hare Krishna”. The Janmashtami corner set in the school corridor intrigued the little ones with its jhula and the natkhat kanhaiya.
The students of Grade III-C and D presented a special assembly where a skit with diverse ‘Leelas’ of Shri Krishna was enacted. It illustrated the fact that whenever there will be dominance of malevolence, ultimately evil will be destroyed, and truth and justice will prevail. The scintillating dance performance and devotional songs on life of Lord Krishna mesmerized one and all. Various Shlokas from the Bhagwat Geeta, emphasizing the teachings of Shri Krishna were recited as well. The assembly was concluded with encouraging words from the Vice Principal- Ms. Monika Kathuria focusing on the importance of good karma in one’s life.
