“Christmas waves a magic wand over this and behind, everything is softer and more beautiful”
The young and dynamic learners waved a magic wand and soaked the whole family of MRIS-14 in the festive spirit of Christmas on Christmas Eve. The entire campus was festooned with colourful streamers and balloons and a brightly decorated Santa with his sleigh. Christmas gives us the opportunity to pause and reflect on the important things around us – a time when we can look back on the year that has passed and prepare for the year ahead. The decoration filled the arena with the astounding magic that announced the arrival of Christmas.
An enthralling Christmas Assembly based on the theme “Everyone can be Santa’ was also conducted to immerse the audience in the festive spirit. It commenced with some soul stirring carols to get everybody into the spirit of Christmas and its gaiety followed by a skit wherein the students showed how everyone can be a Santa. The special assembly culminated by an energetic dance performance by the students.
To make the occasion more alive, an Inter clan competition was organised in the sacred premises wherein the creative minds indulged in an array of activities like Christmas tree decoration, wreath making, Secret Santa, card making, Christmas theme decoration and many more. Taking on the lead, these activities happened with a streak of twist to make it eco-friendly. The students made all the creative pieces with recycled material like paper cups, newspapers, empty glass bottles, ice- cream sticks, tin cans rugged mats, old and worn out clothes etc. The students explored their dormant talent and made it worth with the beautiful Christmas decoration all around.
Present on the occasion, Director Principal Ms. Mamta Wadhwa, and Vice Principal Dr. Shalini Bindra, and other senior dignitaries congratulated all the clan participants and encouraged them to strive hard to make this world green and beautiful. This vivid experience gave wholesome contentment to the vibrant minds along with the entire Manav Rachna Fraternity. The spree of the celebration came to an end with the results of the clan activity that made the day worth.
