The Grade 7 learners glorified the English language which is considered as the window to the world. The play “The Merchant of Venice” by William Shakespeare was effervescently showcased by the young drama queens and kings.

The young brigade of the school listed out the history of English language and humorous facts on English such as pangrams like “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog”. The foot tapping ball room dance was a visual treat for all, followed by an eye opener speech by Ms Ayushi Gujral; revealing the fact that the contemporary state of English language is a result of periods of expansion and innovation and pieces and patches from various ancient and medieval languages.

The programme came to a crescendo with the address of Vice Principal Ms. Shalini Bindra focusing on the importance of English language in today’s world. Principal, Ms. Mamta Wadhwa,  lauded the efforts of the students.
