To inculcate among the students, respect for others and the value of equality, an Anti-Bullying week has been organised from April 16, 2018 to April 20, 2018 at Manav Rachna International School, Charmwood on the theme- “Take a stand, lend a hand”.
A week long initiative has been designed with an aim of helping children and young adolescents understand the importance of every child being feel valued and included in the school, able to be himself/ herself without any fear of bullying. This would also acquaint the students with different types of bullying and steps that can be taken to prevent oneself from being bullied.
During the week, students will participate in various activities across all Grades like Make Ice cream stick puppets on themes like friendship, care (for the students of Early Years), plant a tree, Inter-house skit competition and group discussions on the topic- “Systems that could have prevented you from being a victim”.
On the first day, students from Early Years to Grade VIII were shown a PowerPoint presentation based on the above topic. For Grade IX onwards, a workshop was conducted by the school counsellors.
After the presentation and workshop, the students shared their experiences with their teachers and took an oath to stand against bullying.
