Manav Rachna has recently established Dr O P Bhalla Foundation under the able guidance of Mrs. Satya Bhalla, Chief Patron, MREI & Chairman, DOPBF with the following
objectives:

EDUCATION:The objective is to provide global and regional leadership in education, to strengthen education systems worldwide from early childhood to the adult years, to respond to contemporary global challenges through transformative education. The foundation will encompass educational development from preschool through to higher education, including technical and vocational education and training, nonformal educationand literacy marginalized and underprivileged sections that have no access to education.

PROTECTING AND REVIVING OUR HERITAGE AND FOSTERING CREATIVITY: To ensure that culture takes it rightful place in development strategies and processes, the Foundation will endeavor to protect and safeguard the world’s cultural and natural heritage including ancient archaeological sites, intangible and underwater heritage, museum collections, oral traditions, literature, dance, music, folklore and arts, and other forms of heritage, and to support creativity, innovation and the emergence of dynamic cultural sectors. The Foundation will work towards Promotion of Sports, Performing Arts, Literature and Crafts. The Foundation will support, promote and encourage sport persons, artisans and the various kinds and forms of sports, dance, theater, folk arts, painting, and literature etc.

CAPACITY BUILDING OF PEOPLE AND CREATING KNOWLEDGE SOCIETIES:To create inclusive knowledge societies and empower local communities by increasing access to and preservation and sharing of information and knowledge and training in ICT literacy, Digital Literacy and Media Literacy. The Foundation would also undertake research activities to further this cause.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION: Promoting, Supporting, Creating Awareness and Reducing Energy Consumption, Promoting, Supporting, Creating Awareness about Produce and Use of Sustainable Clean and Green Energy, Promoting, Supporting, Creating Awareness and Conserving Water, Forests and Trees, Promoting, Supporting, Creating Awareness about Energy Efficiency and Eco Friendly Measures, Promoting, Supporting and Investing in Science, Technology, Research and Innovation to develop indigenous knowledge systems that are in close association with nature.

GENDER EQUALITY, SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE JUSTICE, AND HEALTHCARE: The Foundation will work towards gender equality and women empowerment in a multipronged approach by awareness campaigns, capacity building, changing mindsets
and perceptions of men and youth, and implementing programs and schemes for the cause.

GLOBAL PHYSICAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL AND SPIRITUAL HEALTH AND WELL BEING: Dr. O.P. Bhalla Foundation will take steps towards achieving total health that is physical, mental, emotional and spiritual and improving the quality of life for the society as a whole. The Foundation will work towards becoming and creating an ethical and just society and work towards global peace.The Foundation will focus on Child and Youth Welfare, Inclusion, Mainstreaming, Development and Empowerment of Sections of Society who are Marginalized, Vulnerable and With Special Needs, and Geriatric Healthcare and Well Being

CSR ACTIVITIES UNDER DR O.P. BHALLA FOUNDATION EK MUTTHI DAAN: In a humble attempt to further the aims and objectives of Dr. O P Bhalla Foundation, one of the first activities of the foundation is donation of rice under the ‘Ek Mutthi Daan’. Through this campaign, all constituents of the MREI family have come together to donate for the underprivileged sections of society. The rice collected has been donated to NGOs- Prayas and Sai Milan, who work with the under-privileged, and run shelters for them. Through this activity students are involved in this noble CSR activity.

ADOPTION OF MOHNA VILLAGE: The Dr O.P. Bhalla Foundation has adopted the Government Girls School in Mohna Village and plans to convert this school into a model school and will subsequently transform the village into a model village. A demographic survey has been conducted in the village and based on that further programs are being developed for the benefit and empowerment of the girl child. Under this program, training of the teachers, reconstruction and facelift of the school etc will be undertaken so as to make it a model school.
