Students of Manav Rachna International School, Sector 51, Noida organized a special Paragon Assembly to celebrate their journey of Unit – 4 in Paragon. They gave a scintillating performance which left everyone spellbound. The pre–primary students made hand puppets, masks, weaved fabrics, coin pouches, necklaces, collars, Harlequin style bracelets, Royal scepter and were able to differentiate clothes of Renaissance time and modern times. The assembly was presided over by the School Principal, Mrs. Sunanda Grover.
The theme for the assembly was the ‘Renaissance Era’. Students of grade –I explored various types of dreams and the ways that can make dreams come true. Their amazing dream chests, phenomenal collage of Renaissance artists like Michaelangelo, Raphael, Leonardo da Vinci and Christopher Columbus, their initial letters made with colorful pasta, interesting Monalisa Painting, future dream mobiles exhibited in their class enthralled everyone present there.
Students of grade – II depicted the Inca life focusing “Renaissance and the New World” and created mountains with clay, Llama animals, sun plates, Inca houses, ponchos, panpipes and index cards. They got familiar with the mountain environment. They gained knowledge about the Inca people who lived in the high Andes of what is today Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Western Argentina. Grade – III students made caramel, hourglass and the sea routes of Columbus on a world map.
The students of Grade – IV embarked on an exciting exploration of the Renaissance, a time of re-birth and of great changes in thinking. They learnt what life in the Renaissance was like through exploration of music, Venetian décor, and architectural details. The students created a model of Venice City, Copernicus’ Solar System, Printing Press, Mona Lisa Sketches, Perspective Drawings and Hand Sculptures. Students of grade – V studied about the reformation and it’s far reaching effects on the lives of people.
