Balancing Life on Wheels …

Spreading the message of “Child Friendly Chandigarh”, Manav Rachna International School, Mohali in association with the Department of Tourism, Chandigarh Administration and the Society for Tourism and Entertainment Promotion in Chandigarh (STEPS) organized “KIDLETHON”, a cyclothon for kids today in the beautiful city of Chandigarh. With more than 250 students paddling on the roads,  the Chandigarh city resonated with joy and excitement.

KIDLETHON comprised of Joy Ride of 5 Kms for Class IV to X and Competitive Ride of 10 Kms for Class VI to X. Each participant was provided a Cap, Certificate of Participation, Health Food Kit and Gift Vouchers. Furthermore, to add a fun element to the event, Manav Rachna Sports Academy organized games like carom, badminton and table tennis for the participants at the venue after the event.

Under Joy Ride, rewards were also given for categories like Best Health Slogan Display, Most Appropriate Riding Gear (boy and girl), Most Stylish Rider (boy and girl) and Best Decorated Cycle. In the Competitive Ride, rewards were bestowed among two categories- both boys and girls each- Class VI-VIII and Class IX-X.

The top three winners from both categories, i.e. Joy Ride and Competitive Ride were awarded with watches whereas the first winner of both categories won a Bicycle from Tata Stryder as a prize.

Icing on the cake was that Manav Rachna Sports Academy announced free demo classes for the first three winners of both categories at Manav Rachna Sports Academy for a week.

The Cyclothon organized today can be capsulated as- ‘The enthusiastic young riders of Chandigarh paddled towards promoting a healthier tomorrow’!
