Manav Rachna International School (MRIS), Mohali organised and hosted ‘India Calling – My Dream, My India’, an inter-school competition at its campus today.
Students from various schools of the tri-city competed with each other in a number of co-scholastic activities including Storytelling, Music, Theatre and Visual Arts. The competition was for students from Nursery to Grade 7. The host school MRIS Mohali did not compete in the event.
The event commenced with Lamp Lighting by the dignitaries comprising Mr. Sunny Bansal, Executive Director, MRIS Mohali; Ms. Taruna Vashisht, Principal, MRIS Mohali and senior teachers from the participating schools. The students of the school showcased a beautiful milieu on the theme “Make in India” – the call of ‘A Resurgent Nation’. The performance was applauded by judges, and all the esteemed dignitaries present.
Chitkara International School, Chandigarh bagged the overall trophy at the event.
While addressing the august gathering, Ms Taruna Vashisht talked about the unique Life Skills Program at Manav Rachna and the in-depth focus of the school towards creating better human beings.
