“He loves his country best who strives to make it best!” ‘Take the charge and make a difference!’ This was the theme of Republic Day celebrations at Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana. The whole campus was immersed in the colours of the tricolour. The Lifesize Emblem and the Ashoka Chakra, the monuments which reflect our cultural heritage, saffron white and green all over the campus reflected the hues of patriotism. Mr.G.K Dhaliwal, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, was a part of these celebrations, as the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest was welcomed by Shri. Rajesh Kalra, Chairman, Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana, Dr. Roopali Trehan, Director, Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana, and Mrs Shilpi Gill, Principal, Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana.The celebrations started on a pious note with the invocation song presented by the MRIS choir. Flag hoisting was accompanied by the National Anthem. The poem, ‘Republic day’ recited by a Grade II student infused patriotic fervour in everyone.The medley presented by the MRIS choir enthused everyone. Through a speech on Republic day, one of the Grade VI students exhorted everyone to take responsibility for their actions, display ownership and contribute to the progress of the nation. The dance performance that was a tribute to the brave soldiers at Pathankot Air force station made everyone reflect upon the sacrifice made by our brave soldiers. The crisp compereing for the show was pure delight for the audience.

Mr.G.K. Dhaliwal, the Chief Guest for the celebrations, expressed his love for the country and inspired the students to recognize the bravery and sacrifice of the great warriors for our protection. He motivated the students to take ownership for their actions and be the change they want to see. He also took a round of the School and was impressed with the state-of-the-art infrastructure of Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana. Mr. Dhaliwal mentioned that MRIS is indeed matchless! He was especially impressed to see the world class Manav Rachna Sports Academy that offers a host of games-Shooting, Badminton (with synthetic court), Table tennis (with automated bowling machine), Billiards, Chess Carom, Basketball (with acrylic court), Cricket, to name a few. The class apart i-Carnegie lab and the Lego land certainly caught his eye. He remarked that the students studying at Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana, are fortunate to be learning at this premier league institution. .He also interacted with the students and complimented that the School is preparing them for the future. Mrs Shilpi Gill, Principal, Manav Rachna International School, thanked Mr G.K. Dhaliwal and his better half, Mrs Neel Kamal Dhaliwal for sparing the time for the celebrations. Mrs Shilpi Gill remarked that Manav Rachna International School is fast becoming the preferred choice of the city because of the progressive and supportive School Management.
