Reading is a conversation.
All books talk.
But a good book listens as well. – Mark Haddon
Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana celebrated Friendship day on a novel and fresher note. To promote healthy reading habits amongst children, ‘Book Exchange Program’ was organised.
Children from grades I to IX brought books to be exchanged with their fellow friends. Children always cherish things that their friends give them as a token of love. It was an evocative way to inculcate reading habits among these children.
Even teachers reciprocated in the same manner. They shared books with their colleagues to set an example for the posterity.
Speaking on the occasion Principal, Dr. Rupali Saini expressed her love for books. She further expressed her earnest wish that she would like ‘to create bibliophiles and not bookworms’ in the times to come.
Hence, Friendship Day took intellectual level of celebration. Children celebrated it on an exclusively different note.
