“The greatness of a culture can be found in its festivals”

Our age-old traditions have gifted our country with various pious festivals and fairs. The school endeavors to see that the students inculcate good human values of appreciating the importance of festivals. They inspire us to follow the right path as the message goes-‘Victory of good over evil.’

A special assembly on Dussehra was organized by the students of primary wing .The assembly started by seeking the blessings of Almighty. The students presented a speech highlighting the importance of the festival. A beautiful poem with the message to spread happiness around was recited followed by choreography on Dusshera. The students also took a pledge to work over their weaknesses and build strength instead. Take away craft was made by the children of Early years. They were also shown a video as to how the exuberant and vibrant festivities of Dussehra are marked in many different ways across the country based on regional and cultural legends attached with it.

A huge ten headed effigy of Ravana was made collectively by the teachers and students. The most awaited moment came when the children witnessed the effigy monstrous Ravana – symbol of all evil- slowly being consumed by fire.

 Dr. Roopali Trehan, Director Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana conveyed her greetings to the Parents, staff members and the students on this auspicious occasion.

The children’s joy knew no bounds to celebrate the festival with the school Principal Dr. Rupali Saini.  She added to the joy of the students of Grade-I to III by making them play prize winning games. Celebration of the festival at MRIS ruled the mood everywhere.
