Healthy eating habits stabilize children’s energy, sharpen their minds, and even out their moods which ultimately energize them for various school activities. Keeping this in mind, Manav Rachna International School, Sector-51 (MRIS-51), Gurugram, organized a workshop on ‘Developing Healthy Food Habits’ for Grade I students. The workshop was an extended activity of their English Lesson – ‘Visit to a Doctor’. This informative and interactive session was conducted by Ms Shweta Singh, Asst. Prof, Dept of Nutrition and Dietetics, Faculty of Applied Sciences (FAS), Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS), Faridabad. She encouraged children to eat healthy and to make smart and healthy food choices. She also informed them about the adverse effects of junk food.
The session ended up with an interesting game with hopes to help the children in developing healthy eating habits early in life that will bring lifelong benefits.
