Assemblies at MRIS are not just confined to prayers and hymns, but encapsulate the national and international news, sports news and ‘Thought for the day’. The attempt is to enlighten the learners about the happenings in the world and encourage them to take proactive steps to address day-to-day challenges in their journey towards future.

“For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others”. Nelson Mandela

On December 9, Class II-A from MRIS 51, Gurgaon conducted an assembly on the theme “Human Rights”. Through a simple presentation, students of Grade II-A made everybody realize that human rights help to ensure that every human being has the freedom to grow to their potential and when everyone’s human rights are protected and balanced, it helps everyone to get along. At school, we respect every student’s rights and believe in helping every student to achieve their potential. A song on “Human Rights” was sung by the children and the foot tapping number enthralled the audience. Vice Principal of the school sensitized the students towards equal right of education for all. She urged the students to make an effort to teach at least one underprivileged child for an hour every Sunday. She also asserted the importance of education in everyone’s life and suggested the students to donate their old books to children who cannot buy them. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem.
