‘A Nation’s Culture Resides In The Hearts And The Soul Of Its People’

India Calling, an annual inter-school event at MRIS 46, Gurugram was hosted on 10th and 11th August 2017. The event, typically held around the Independence Day, is an attempt to bring the young Indians on a common platform and help them explore the possibilities that India has. Students from Nursery to Grade XII participated in various age appropriate events over the two days.

India Calling 2017 witnessed a spectacular show with more than 40 schools, across Delhi-NCR participating in the event.  In today’s world where technology is required at every step, India Calling 2017- Meri Maati Ki Khushbu,  gave an opportunity to 1300+ students to engage in the cultural events. It visibly helped them to connect more with their country’s rich heritage and culture.

The events scheduled for 11th August were intended for middle and senior students. Katputli ka Khel (Grades V, VI), Murtikala (Grades VII, VIII) and Katha (Grades IX-XII) captivated the onlooker’s attention. The show mesmerized the audience and the judges who graced the occasion.

Katputli ka Khel was won by MRIS 51, Gurgaon while Amity 46 was adjudged winners for Murtikala. While, DAV sec 14 bagged the First position in Katha, DPS 45 was declared the School of the Day on 11th August 2017.

In Kabaddi, Shikshiyan School was declared the winner while Lions Public School was the Runners Up.
