The 68th Republic Day of India was celebrated at MRIS-46, Gurugram in all its solemnity and grandeur representing the true spirit of the secular, sovereign, socialist, democratic republic- India.
To mark the importance of this day, a grand celebration was held and the school premises reverberated with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm as the children brought the stage alive with their passion and love for the motherland.
The day began with the hoisting of the Indian flag followed by the National Anthem. The events that followed, included a beautiful piece of patriotic Hindi song and a dance, performed by the Students of Early Years. The Students of Grade- I shared information about the Constitution of India and donned caps of various freedom fighters.
Grade VIII Charak and Kalam held a special assembly on this occasion.The events that followed, included an inspiring speech on the significance of the day, dance performance on rhythmic beats and medley of patriotic songs, sung by the School choir. The programme concluded with a very inspiring speech delivered by the Principal, who shared her words of wisdom and spoke about various facets of the country, seeking the pledge from students to uphold the honour and integrity, diversity and uniqueness of our country, ‘India’.
