Making the best out of waste has been a part of human life since the early ages. It was the human creative mind that gave birth to this extraordinary idea of using unwanted material in a useful way. To instill this habit in students, the students of Grade VI of Manav Rachna International School, Sec-14, Faridabad performed an activity of making a wall hanging to spread awareness among them to reuse the waste articles at their homes. Be it an empty plastic bottle or a rope, waste decorative material, each and every thing may have reusable value in this world – either as a useful raw material or as a decorative item for one’s house. Therefore, it is important to incorporate arts & crafts into the students’ life at a very young age.
This way it will also be easier for children to maintain their interest in making crafts for years to come and help save the environment at the same time by encouraging them to create art from waste materials. To learn how to make it, they gathered in the assembly area and used all the waste items to make a beautiful wall hanging. They were elated to see the final product which they wanted to show to their teachers.
