Teej ushers in the advent of the monsoons and enjoyment on the swings – “Sawan ke jhooley”. The festival is marked by colorful celebrations by the womenfolk, who enjoy swing rides, song and dance. They also apply mehendi or henna tattoos.

Kids at MRIS-14 were dressed in beautiful ethnic clothes. They enjoyed swings, music and dance with their friends and teachers. They also treated themselves with ‘Ghewar’ which marks this special occassion.  Girls put mehandi. They all looked like little ‘Radhas’ dancing together and enjoying and welcoming rains. The school had become alive with their lovely giggling faces.
