We are privileged that CEE initiated a new project — the ‘Seeds of Hope’ exhibition at Manav Rachna International School, Sector-14, Faridabad. Mr. Tadashi Nagai – Representative from Soka Gakkai International; Mr. Sharad Gaur Program Director CEE Delhi; Mr. Bijoy Goswami CEE Ahmedabad and Mr. Shivam Dhoundiyal CEE Delhi visited the School.

Centre for Environment Education (CEE) is a Centre of Excellence supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change. A joint initiative of Soka Gakkai International (SGI), Japan and the Earth Charter International, the exhibition was created as an educational resource for the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development.

The workshop and exhibition were duly attended by Students which took place discussing on various topics related to the world around us, awakening towards the Earth, etc.

Mr. Shivam explained that it starts with one Universe, one Earth and one Awakening so everyone should have their own perception but one choice, action and one dream to conserve our Earth. He discussed the consequences of destroying the nature because it can cause more pain than the illness itself. This sensitized the Students to the need for protecting the environment. Students participated in the Quiz time and filled self-assessment questionnaire.

Also, they got to see the exhibition, ‘Seeds of Hope’ which made the whole concept of this event even more illustrative and explanatory.

It will definitely be used as a tool for Reflection, Education, and Self-realization. It will help the generation to practically implement various steps towards a more sustainable world.
