Pride in our souls …
Let’s salute the Nation today!
Every citizen of India is well aware that 15th August is the day when India got its independence from the British rule to become a free Country. The day is celebrated all over with great patriotism.
Therefore, to sensitize the children about their role as free and good citizens of India, MRIS-Sector 14, Faridabad celebrated Independence Day through spectacular assemblies. The students presented skits wherein they showcased that India is a secular country and that everyone has the right to live freely but that freedom is not about having the right over the motherland of the Country, rather it is about having the freedom of thoughts for the betterment of Society and the Nation as a whole. They also depicted the sacrifices of the army in sustaining our freedom. The students gave mesmerizing song and dance performances depicting different facets of our freedom struggle. The participants spell bound the audience with their performance and also energized them with patriotic fervor.
The icing on the cake was watching the toddies marching smartly in their tri-colour outfits. To make learning more interesting for the tots and to enhance the flavor of patriotism, teachers organized various hands-on activities like: Painting the National Flag, Tattoo making, Making tri-colour drinks wherein the focus was to teach how water changes its colour and taste, by making Tang, Lemonade and Khus sharbat which they relished with their peers. Altogether, it was an experiential learning for the little ones, with so much fun!
