“A time for celebration, a time when the world see the power of good. Let us continue the same true spirit on the occasion of Dussehra.”

Keeping the festive spirit alive, a special assembly on the occasion of Dussehra was organised at MRIS Sector 14, Faridabad which highlighted the significance of the festival and how it is celebrated across the country.

Various cultural programs were held in the school premises. The students performed a Bengali dance in which various forms of Durga were showcased. A musical drama showcasing Maa Durga killing the demon Mahishasur was also presented, reinforcing the message that good always triumphs over evil. Our early years kids amazed the audience with their energetic Dandiya dance and sang a melodious bhajan, followed by the ‘Aagman of Ramparivar’ with the followers in a procession.

While celebrating the victory of good over evil, the little ones were also told about the ‘stranger-danger’ and to be smart and alert, by depicting the episode of Ramayana where Sita ji trusted the stranger- Ravana and was caught in trouble. The teachers of Early years beautifully summarized the entire Ramayana in front of the toddlers and Bloomz kidz. The celebration did not end there as their enthusiastic mothers danced on the dandiya beats with their kids. It was truly a wonderful experience for each one present there.
