In the words of John Erickson “Wisdom is not what comes from reading great books. When it comes to understanding life, experiential learning is the only worthwhile kind, everything else is hearsay”.
As a parent, I always wanted to bring up my daughter in a holistic environment where she learns not by rote but by doing. Evening discussions with my friends would be about the ‘best’ schools for our children. But as a child, Loren Eiseley’s story ‘The Star Thrower’ always fascinated me. I wanted my child to develop the traits like the child who believed that you might not be able to change the entire world, but at least you can change a small part of it, for someone. Then I made the wisest choice- Enrolling my child as a toddler in MRIS-51 Gurugram.
MRIS-51 Gurugram has played a major role in making my child inquisitive to learn. She has developed an attitude to try and learn things by doing. She has learned her concepts not by rote but by practically doing them through the play-way method during her early years. Her crest periods, assemblies, show and tell has made her a confident speaker. I feel proud when she questions me and discusses concepts beyond her age. With the change in time and attitude, I wanted my child to be sensitive to her surroundings; I see her growing into one. The schools commitment towards every child, the security and love that they provide can only be felt when you are a part of this school. Manav Rachna’s mission to create human beings with a golden heart and at the same time, inculcate skills and impart knowledge through experiential learning gives them a niche over other educational institutions.
