Students excel at Glider Making Challenge

Genius is the ability to put into effect what is on our mind, and the children at Manav Rachna International School Sector- 46 are a testimony to it. At a recent Glider Making Challenge held at IIT Delhi, three teams from grade IX and X bagged the 2nd, 3rd and 4thposition respectively. The total number of competing teams was 57. What is more exciting is the fact that MRIS46 was the only school team participating as others were from colleges; however this did not affect the indomitable spirit of our children.

The competition required some exceptional mathematical and aero dynamical skills which the children had to showcase in the span of 3 hours, to design gliders which could fly as swiftly and sharply as an eagle. Due to the escalating exam pressure, the children could devote only 1-2 days for the practice session and still made this win possible. Congratulations to all the winners and the mentors.
