Counselling Session on Emotional Intelligence

‘It is not what you do for your children, but what you have taught them to do for themselves that will make them successful human beings.’

Inculcating Emotional intelligence in students is a gateway for better learning, friendships and academic success. Skills such as these developed in our formative years at school often provide the foundation for future habits later on in life.

A Counselling Session on Emotional Intelligence was taken up by the School Counsellor, Ms. Geetanjali Kalia, who apprised students on Emotional literacy, managing emotions, developing empathy and intrinsic motivation through a power point presentation and a variety of activities. It was a power packed session where students participated ardently and were educated how to understand emotions and triggers to emotions, ways to manage our disruptive emotions, exhibiting empathy skills, understanding emotions of others and ability to create resonant leadership through mastering these skills.

Manav Rachna International School believes in creating successful students who are emotionally literate and secure, not threatened by others or their differing opinions and beliefs, the ones who do not become easily defensive or angered, acknowledging their fears and encouraging others to do likewise. We believe in empowering our students to be empathetic, accepting and compassionate and each day on campus tireless efforts are made towards attaining these goals.
