Manav Rachna Curriculum Is Developed Around Seven Learning Areas For Holistic And All-Rounded Learning

Languages And Literacy

Language and Literacy are both building blocks for academic success. Multiple languages are
taught at MRIS to build communication and cultural understanding. English is the 1st language,
followed by Hindi/Punjabi as the 2nd language. Students also have the option of studying
Sanskrit, French, Spanish, and German as the 3rd language.

The 3rd language is introduced in the Vth grade and students continue learning it till grade
VIII. From grade IX onwards, English is a compulsory language and additionally students can
choose any one of the other languages (from above) that they have studied.

Numeracy

Numeracy equips students with mathematical skills and understanding of daily life which is
essential for future success. A strong foundation in numeracy is vital for success in many
subjects, including science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

It helps students solve problems, analyze data, and understand mathematical concepts while
developing critical thinking and logical reasoning. Students pursue numeracy till Grade X. In
Grade X they have the option of taking Standard or Basic Math. Applied Math is introduced in
Grade XI.

Innovative/Conceptual Learning Through
CREST

Conceptual Learning through Reasoning, Exploration, Skill & Technology (CREST) an
Inter-Disciplinary Curriculum (Science & Social Science), it aims at instilling 21st Century
Learner Skills in children by motivating them to inquire to seek answers. Age-appropriate
effective instructional strategies and pedagogical practices aim to create unique and engaging
learning experiences for children.

It facilitates children to explore the world they live in with a sense of sustained awe and
wonderment that motivates them to inquire more. Child-centered strategies that provide
opportunities to learn through experimentation, investigation, demonstration, and application
form the basis of this unique curriculum.

Sports And Well-Being

Sports significantly enhance physical and mental health and contribute to overall personality
development. At MRIS, a wide range of sports like chess, Football, Basketball, Badminton,
Table Tennis, Cricket &shooting, etc. are offered to the students. Our well-trained
instructors help keen learners excel in their chosen sports. They are encouraged to
participate in the sporting events both within the School premises and beyond.

Visual Arts

Visual arts provide students the freedom to express themselves and think out of the box.
Through activities like drawing, sculpting, painting, and crafting, students get to explore
their creativity and imagination. Such activities enhance their perception, observation and
understanding of complex concepts along with the fine motor & art skills.

Performing Arts

To ensure the holistic development of our students, a range of activities like dance, vocal
and instrumental music, theatre, etc. are offered to the students under the performing arts
umbrella. All these verticals especially work upon building multiple intelligences within
students by helping them explore their imagination and convey their emotions.

FS&S & Life Skills

The FS&S programme is uniquely designed for Manav Rachna students providing them with an
opportunity to engage in purposeful hands-on learning while focusing on 21st Century skills,
