Maker Shala
Tinker Shala and Maker Shala, as part of FS & S programme, are entirely project-based and inference driven to promote scientific temper and scientific approach to problem solving.
Our objective
- To create a community of Makers, Innovators, and Entrepreneurs with excellent critical and creative thinking skills.
- To enhance scientific and technical skills, self-awareness and values, and general awareness to make learners future ready.
- To enhance scientific and technical skills, self-awareness and values, and general awareness to make learners future ready.
With over five years of research and development done by a team of engineers and pedagogical experts, Maker Shala has upgraded its curriculum to provide greater autonomy to students from grade VI onwards to decide projects they want to work on from among three broad threads.
Infra Tech
In Infra Tech vertical, students work on product design that includes smart and space saving furniture and living spaces, energy efficient homes, and artistic tensegrity structures.
Health Tech
Health Tech projects include ideas that aim to find and develop innovative assistive solutions for the elderly driven by empathy and compassion for a better quality of life with dignity. Students could build smart assistance devices to facilitate mobility and independence, health bands and trackers, SOS alarm systems, smart medicine tracker and dispenser, and fall detection safety belts.
Agri Tech
Agri Tech vertical promotes exploration of more sustainable and high-quality food production using technology in agriculture. With world population estimated to reach 10 billion by 2050 and with India being the most populous country on the planet, this vertical is particularly relevant to us.
Every year, the projects undertaken by students are STEM-based (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) aligned with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
The themes that are introduced to students include
- Design Thinking
- IoT (Internet of Things)
- Wood Working
- 3D Printing
- Physical Computing
- Advanced Prototyping
- Usage of Tools and Technology

All the sessions for this vertical are held in dedicated Maker Shala labs which are equipped with modern technical and technological facilities. Students work individually and with their peers on projects that are conducted under the guidance of experienced Technical Trainers.
Students also get multiple opportunities to demonstrate their learning by participating in competitions and events like Tech Trek, TechnoXian, WRO, and Coolest Projects among many others.
The success of our curriculum is evidenced by the awards and accolades that our children have received in the past academic years in National and International competitions. They continue this tradition in this academic year as well.
