Ms. Kanika Nikhanj, Headmistress (Foundational Stage), has been an integral part of Manav Rachna International School, Mohali, since its inception in 2017. With over a decade of experience in the educational field, she is known for her profound understanding of and dedication to progressive education. She has played a pivotal role in training teachers, developing academic content and setting curriculum priorities for the Foundational Stage. Ms. Kanika’s academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Radiology, but her passion for education led her to pursue Nursery Teacher Training (NTT), followed by a B.Ed. She further enhanced her expertise with a Master’s degree in School Leadership & Management. Her career in teaching commenced at St. Stephen’s, Chandigarh, where she made significant contributions for over seven years.

In addition to her academic credentials, Ms. Kanika is a certified UNESCO SEL (Social and Emotional Learning) Master Trainer. She is actively involved in volunteering for children’s workshops at the TS Central State Library, Chandigarh. An avid reader, blogger, and traveler, she continuously seeks to expand her horizons and share her experiences. Her innovative approach to education has earned her a nomination for the ‘Innovative Teacher of the Year’ by the Global Education Awards.
