The IB Curriculum
The International Baccalaureate(IB) curriculum is
a globally recognised educational framework offering four programmes
- Primary Years Programme (PYP)
- Middle Years Programme (MYP)
- Diploma Programme (DP)
- Career-Related Programme (CP)
The framework emphasizes critical
thinking,
intercultural understanding and holistic development. Each of the four programmes is designed to
cater to
specific age groups nurturing their intellectual, personal and social-emotional skills.

The IB curriculum offers a distinct student centric approach, encouraging students to
inquire, act, reflect and take ownership of their own learning. It integrated disciplines,
promoting deeper understanding of concepts while making real world connections.


At the heart of IB curriculum are the 10 Learner Profile Attributes that make them dwell as
internationally-minded lifelong learners. The curriculum also aims at enhancing the skills such as
research,
thinking, social, communication and self-management preparing them to become Global Citizens who are
ready to
take the ownership of their learning.
There are three IB programmes, which are being offered at Manav Rachna International School:
- The Diploma Programme (DP) for students aged 16 to 19
- The Middle Years Programme (MYP) for students aged 11 to 16
- The Primary Years Programme (PYP) for students from 3 to 12.
The IB curriculum lays a strong emphasis on community service and ethical responsibility encouraging
students to contribute positively towards the community fostering empathy and global citizenship.
