Pedagogy
Early years
At MRIS IB, the Early Years Programme is designed
to curate imagination and ignite love for learning.
Inquiry through play is at the of
our learning and teaching allowing learners to explore, engage and make discoveries.

With an objective to enhance literacy skills, we integrate symbolic
exploration and
expression into our literacy engagements, encouraging children to engage with language learning
in meaningful
ways. Through storytelling, role playing and creative expression, learners develop their
communication skills.
The learners develop their sense of numbers and mathematical expression through hands-on
engagements and play.

Our learning spaces are thoughtfully curated to make learning enjoyable. These spaces are flexible.
Inviting, and equipped with a variety of resources and manipulatives that encourage exploration and
collaboration.

Outdoor and indoor experiences add to the learning environment that’s safe and stimulating
providing opportunities for learners to engage with their surroundings.
By focusing on Inquiry through play, enhancing literacy skills and using dynamic learning spaces,
we aim to achieve holistic development of a child focusing while enhancing their skills and
creating opportunities to exhibit their IB Learner Profile attributes.
