As all of us know that leadership is a quality, which when inculcated at an early age not only helps to develop a sense of responsibility, but also helps inculcate the spirit of teamwork and collaboration.
Bearing this in mind and providing a platform for our students to understand how a democratic system of election works as well as apply the concept learnt in the Social Studies section of CREST, we provided the opportunity for our students to be a part of the Leadership Programme by way of participation in the election of the Student Council.

The Editorial Board
The Student Leadership Programme of the School is a significant one because it equips students with a diverse set of skills and experiences that prepare them for future challenges and opportunities. It contributes to their academic success, personal growth, and professional readiness, while also enhancing the overall school environment and community.
One such opportunity offered to our students of Grades VI is to be a part of the Editorial Board of the School. Being a part of the Editorial Board offers students a range of experiences that contribute to their academic as well as personal growth.
It provides opportunities to develop valuable skills, foster creativity, build leadership qualities, and engage with the school community in meaningful ways. The Editorial Board is a prestigious group responsible for managing and contributing to our School Newsletter ‘The MRIS 21C Gazette’.
As part of the selection process, students are shortlisted by the members of the Editorial Committee based on their academic as well as co-scholastic performance, creativity, innovation, critical thinking skills, attention to detail and inter-personal skills. After shortlisting and first-level interaction with the members of the Editorial Committee, the candidates are interviewed by the Principal to assess the students’ skills and suitability, as well as ensure that they are well-prepared for their potential contributions to the Board.
The Editorial Board is responsible for writing and whetting the School’s Newsletter – The MRIS 21C Gazette. Based on thought-provoking themes, students across all grades participate gleefully by submitting substantial work in the form of articles, videos, photographs, and artwork. Once, the editorial board receives the submissions, they undergo the process of rigorous editing by the students of the editorial board before reaching the desk of the Editorial Committee. Each and every submission is important in its own way and respecting various perspectives, our school’s gazette expresses joy that prevails in our institution.
