Speech and Language Therapy
At MRIS-46, our Speech and Language Therapy program plays a crucial role in empowering the students to communicate effectively and engage confidently in academic and social settings.
Speech and language difficulties can significantly impact a student’s ability to express themselves, comprehend instructions, and interact with peers. Our SEN department integrates specialized Speech and Language Therapy services to cater to the diverse needs of our students, ensuring they receive personalized support tailored to their unique communication challenges.
Objectives:
- Enhanced Communication Skills: Through individualized therapy sessions, our aim is to improve speech clarity, language comprehension, and expressive language skills.
- Functional Communication: We focus on equipping students with practical communication strategies that enhance their independence and participation in classroom activities.
- Social Interaction: Therapy sessions are designed to promote social skills development, enabling students to initiate and maintain interactions with peers and adults effectively.

Our experienced Speech and Language Therapists collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to create cohesive support plans that address each student’s specific needs. Therapeutic interventions are based on evidence-based practices and are continually adapted to reflect the student’s progress and evolving educational goals. We recognize the importance of collaboration between school staff, therapists, and families in ensuring the continuity of support for our students. Regular communication and progress updates empower parents to reinforce therapy goals at home, further enhancing the student’s progress and integration within the school community.
