Special Education
Special education refers to the tailored educational services and support
provided to students with diverse learning needs. These needs can arise from various
disabilities, developmental delays, behavioural challenges, or other unique circumstances that
impact a student’s ability to learn within the traditional classroom setting.

We at MRIS-46, recognise the need and importance to cater to the unique needs of our students
with Autism, ADHD, Intellectual Disability and Learning Disabilities. We focus on the overall
development of a child depending on needs as well as potential. Functional academics are
imparted with parallel intervention with allied therapies depending on the needs of the child.
Speech and Language Therapy
At MRIS-46, our Speech and Language Therapy program plays a crucial role in empowering the
students to communicate effectively and engage confidently in academic and social settings.
Speech and language difficulties can significantly impact a student’s ability to express
themselves, comprehend instructions, and interact with peers.
Our SEN department integrates specialized Speech and Language Therapy services to cater to the
diverse needs of our students, ensuring they receive personalized support tailored to their
unique communication challenges.

Student Counselling

At times, a special educator also plays the role of a counsellor to the parents by providing
necessary support for their emotional well-being and also by suggesting them various ways to
deal with the children based on the assessment & observations in the school environment by
incorporating suggestive changes in the home environment for optimum utilization of the
child’s potential for better results.
