Community Services
Community connection is close to our hearts as the MRIS family.
We proudly host two dedicated clubs, the M.R. Connect Club and the Environment Crusaders Club, each focused on significant areas of community welfare and environmental responsibility.
Our M.R. Connect Club undertakes various projects aimed at community welfare, including health and wellness campaigns conducted in local slums, distributing cloth bags made from old t-shirts to housekeeping staff to reduce plastic use, and offering computer literacy programs for grandparents and parents to help them upskill.
Meanwhile, the Environment Crusaders Club is dedicated to environmental welfare through initiatives such as partnering with Green O Tech to recycle paper waste and convert it into stationery. Our commitment to community outreach is exemplified through our Heartfelt Outreach Programme, where students and teachers visit local old age homes.
During these visits, our students present heartwarming performances that bring joy and entertainment to the residents, creating meaningful intergenerational connections. As part of our “Joy of Giving” initiative, students collect new stationery items to gift to students in NGOs who cannot afford them.
We also organize food-sharing sessions, where food is shared with the old age home residents. Additionally, as a special gesture, the residents of old age homes are invited as esteemed guests to our Grandparents Day celebrations, where we honor their wisdom, love, and invaluable presence in our lives. Through these initiatives, we strive to foster empathy, instill respect for the elderly, and create lasting bonds that transcend age barriers.
