Virtual Earthquake Drill
During a damaging earthquake, life-saving actions must be taken immediately by everyone, irrespective of their age!
Thus, MRIS, Mohali ensured that the children virtually undergo an Earthquake drill to prepare them towards any untoward scenario. Such drills are an extremely important part of the preparedness plans because they teach students how to respond to the urgency of a real-life situation like an earthquake.
It also helps to evaluate how well all parts of an emergency plan work together and how well children are trained to execute it independently. It was amazing to witness how well the children participated in the drill and vigilantly followed steps like parking themselves under a table, covering their heads with their hands or cushions.
